Facility Features, Working Principle and Specifications

Features Working Principle

Description:

TLC-MS is a device that provides a simple, automated means of obtaining mass spectra directly from TLC plates. This instrument utilizes a head that forms a leak-tight seal on the surface of the TLC plate, which allows an extraction solvent to be delivered onto the TLC spot. Another channel extracts the analytes and solvent for introduction into a mass spectrometer.

Features:

  • 1. Ion Source: ESI ion source
  • 2. Single Quadrapole MS
  • 3. Mass Range: m/z upto 1200
  • 4. Ionization mode: +ve and –ve
  • 5. Isocratic Pump for direct injection.
  • 6. Plate express-CMS interface for analyzing planar surfaces such as TLC plates.
  • 7. Nitrogen Generator is connected separately for continuous nitrogen supply.
