Liquefaction of Helium gas
Features Working Principle
The compressed Helium gas passes through several heat exchangers for precooling and is subsequently isentropically expanded in Turbo-Expanders and further undergoes JT expansion. Liquefied helium stored in dewar.
The main parts of the LHe plant are:
- Recirculation compressor
- Oil Removal System and Dryer
- Buffer Vessel
- Cold Box
- Dewar
- Recovery Gas Bag
- Recovery Compressor
