Facility Features, Working Principle and Specifications

Facility Description

Facility Description

The IncuCyte ZOOM system is a live-cell imaging and analysis platform that enables automated quantification of cell behavior over time (from hours to weeks) by automatically gathering and analyzing images around the clock.

The system is capable of:

1. Real time live cell imaging of cells inside the incubator with 4x, 10x and 20x objective (phase contrast/red/green channel)
2. Use of 96/384 well plates for high-throughput imaging
3. Kinetic Analysis for cell proliferation, growth curve, confluence, IC50 determination etc using image-based analysis of confluence

E.g. IncuCyte Proliferation Assays allow every well of a 96/384 well plate to be imaged and analyzed automatically to provide a microplate readout of cell proliferation over time. Proliferation time-courses reveal concentration-dependent treatment effects. Transform data into concentration-response curves to obtain IC50 and compare pharmacology.

4. Wound healing and migration (Requires special image-lock plates to be procured by the user)

5. Neurite outgrowth assays.

Instructions for Registration, Sample Preparation, User Instructions and Precautionary Measures

Instructions for Registration

An appointment will be given as per queue and will be informed by email.

Instruction for Sample Preparation

Samples must be in either of the vessels: Confocal dishes, T75, Multi-well plate. Sample preparation must be completed before bringing the same to the facility. The sample must be brought to the facility in aseptic conditions. The user must ensure to receive the sample back once their slot is completed, the facility management will discard any unclaimed samples after the slot is completed.

User Instructions and Precautionary Measures

The facility is a central facility shared by multiple users. Precaution must be taken as to minimize disturbance to other users. The incubator which houses the instrument is shared by some of the facility users, so the user must ensure the sample is free of contamination.
