Facility Features, Working Principle and Specifications
Facility Description
The High-Speed PIV facility is a state-of-the-art setup designed for whole-flow-field measurements, providing instantaneous velocity vector data in fluid cross-sections. This non-intrusive technique enables the study of high-speed flows and boundary layer phenomena.
Key Applications:
Thermaocoustics instability and its control
Aeroacoustic instabilities and control
Spray and combustion dynamics
jet dynamics, thin liquid sheet breakdown, and noise suppression in high-speed jets
Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) is a whole-flow-field technique providing instantaneous velocity vector measurements in a cross-section of a flow.
This technique being non-intrusive technique allows the application of PIV in high speed flows, boundary layer studies of fluids.
