Facility Features, Working Principle and Specifications

Facility Description

Facility Description

The instrument is used for fast, routine, sub-micron measurements of size and zeta potential. Based on the principles of Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) for particle sizing and distribution, and based on Doppler velocimetry (electrophoretic light scattering or ELS) for zeta potential measurement, most measurements take very less time. The instrument also includes Phase Analysis Light Scattering (PALS) measurements for samples with low mobilities

Features Working Principle

Features/ Accessories:

  • 35mW 660nm diode laser
  • 15°, 90° and 173° angular measurements with temperature control (-5 to 110°C)
  • Bi – SREL universal Electrode assembly for use with water/ simple polar and with non polar liquids
  • BI-APDX high sensitive APD detector
  • 90 PDP: Debye plot software for absolute molar weight determination
